The quick accessibility from Innsbruck, whether by car or with the ski bus – and the great all-round view from Birgitzköpfl. The ski bus stops on the way to the Axamer Lizum ski area above the Adelshof inn at around 1,350 meters above sea level, the starting point of this tour. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes, you will mainly meet other ski tourers here – and some tobogganers, because the lower part of the tour runs along the Birgitzer Alm toboggan run. So please stay at the edge of the toboggan run and walk one behind the other, not side by side. After a few turns on the toboggan run, the area opens up into a wide forest aisle. Orientation is therefore quite easy – always follow the forest aisle to the Birgitzer Alm (refreshment stops), from there it is only a few meters in altitude on a pleasant incline to the summit. There is a great view of the Kalkkögel in the south and Innsbruck and the Inn Valley in the north. On the descent you simply follow the forest aisle again and in the lower part of the toboggan run.
